Second Rising

There are so many things in the show that make me curious! What I've currently been pondering is why the Dark Ace is serving Master Cyclonis, given that she's much younger.

From what I recall, the original Storm Hawks died saving the world from the cyclonians...and the Dark Ace was responsible for their downfall. Perhaps Master Cyclonis has some relation with the original ruler, and the Dark Ace continued his servitude?
